Amazing 10 Days

"I'm back!" It has been a wonderful ten days..one that certainly have made a lasting impact in my life. A few days ago i had this thought in my mind: 'Its great to be at the center of God's Will'.

It was liberating to know that every step that you take is within the Will of God and to discover that His Will and purpose for you is 'simply the best'. When you are in the center of His Will you are at the most secured place.

My heart really broke when i saw the many needs in this country that i visited. I met this boy at the market. There was simply no smile on his face. Life was difficult and he had to sell his teacher's paintings to make a living. My heart really went out for him. All i could do is to utter a prayer in my heart and put my arms around him and give him some money to buy something for himself.

One of my joys is to see our young people taking an active part in loving and reaching out to the people around them. It is simply amazing. When i saw them in action i saw the love of Jesus shining through them. They did well!

I also believe that God has fulfilled one of the 'Word' that He has given me ten years ago. At that time i was a Youth Worker in Ipoh Wesley. As i prayed for the youths God spoke to me through Isaiah 44: 1 - 5. Verse five came as a fulfilment of prophecy when i saw our young people in action. "One will say 'I belong to the Lord'; another will call himself by the name of Jacob; still another will write on his hand 'The Lord's' and will take the name Israel."

I think what was significant in this trip was challenging friends there to give themselves to the task of prayer and intercession. I think as we give ourselves seriously to the task of prayer and intercession we would be able to see things from God's point of view. Prayer is more than bring our prayer list to God; in prayer we discover what is really in heart of God concerning ourselves and the world that we live in.

We also experienced God's presence throughout the trip. In everything we did we prayed. We saw the hands of God at work in the things we did and realised that without prayer nothing happens!

It was really sad to leave our friends after those ten days. There was alot of tears and hugs in the airport. We left with a heavy heart. We felt as if apart of us is now back there. Yesterday our teams spent most time talking about our friends back there.
